I am now 32 weeks.
I weigh 137
I am 40 inches around.
I am swelling. Nothing major though. Thankfully. Its been a hard summer and its only just begun. Thankfully we have 7 weeks left. I cant believe it!
Jacen is getting excited I think. He keeps saying, "Kayleigh couple weeks?" He loves being in her room. He loves talking to her and rubbing her. I love it that he is already taking care of her. Today I was laying on the couch and he brought his glow worm and turned it on and said "listen to music, Kayleigh." It was the cutest thing!
Our appointments are every 2 weeks for the regular OB and MFM (specialist). But so far its turning out that we are having appts. every week. Doesn't bother me at all. I am comforted knowing that my doctors care and are willing to do what I ask and think of the emotional side of pregnancy for us.
A few weeks ago we did the 4-d u/s and she was being a little stinker. She had her legs in front of her face and her feet on her forehead. So we only got partial pictures of her. But here they are!
This last one she looks just like Jacen is one of his 4-d u/s pictures. I love these babies!

Its A GIRL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I know I havent been updating on here like I should be. But sweet pea is a GIRL! We are so excited and just cant believe we are having a little girl.
Her name is Kayleigh Makenna.
Kayleigh is doing great so far. She is measuring right at 19w 4d. She is about 10oz right now. Heart beat is at 145. My placenta is anterior right now so thats why I am not able to feel her move much right now, we hope that it moves so that I will be able to feel her. I will be a wreck if it does not move at all. I know I will be calling the OB every other day to check on her. Other than that it was a great visit. We go back to MFM in 8 weeks to do more measurements.
I am still in awe and just over the moon that Jay and Jacen are going to have a little sister!

Appointment and MFM appointment....
Both appointments went great. Sweet Pea is measuring right on track and looking great. Tuesday at my regular appointment Dr.H told us we could go ahead and get the specialist appointments going, so they called the referral over and had the appointment set up for today.
Today they did anatomy scan and took all sweet pea's measurements. Which are looking great. Everything is on track. They did ask us if we would like for them to do an early gender guess and of course we said yes!
The ultrasound tech said judging by the ultrasound that the baby looks like its going to be a girl. She said she was only giving 60%. Dr. W came in and said he totally agreed with the tech and it definitely looks like a girl to him too! Jay and I both feel that this little one is a girl as well! I really feel that their predictions are correct. Next time they will be able to give us 100%.
Not a whole lot to tell this time. Which is good news for us.

2nd appointment.....
Tomorrow is our second OB appointment. I am nervous yet excited. I am hoping that they will refer us over to the specialist tomorrow, usually when the second trimester begins is when the specialist starts seeing us (at 14 weeks is second trimester) I am ready to get those started for the extra set of eyes and the piece of mind.
Still feeling like this little one is a girl. Hopefully we will get to find out early like we did with Jacen. But no matter what it is, I will be happy so long as its healthy and crying when it comes out. We haven't started buying anything yet, of course we have a lot of stuff already that we will use over. But there are things that we do have to buy. We have started looking around to get ideas of what we like and can afford. So far we have a name picked out, if its a girl. We are still undecided on a boy name, but we still have time to find the perfect one.
So far since coming to the end of the 1st trimester, I am beginning to feel much better. Thank the good Lord. Not much morning sickness going on anymore, and headaches have subsided. As far as being tired, that is still around, but I am used to that.
Pray that everything is still and continues to go well with Little Pea. I pray for a save arrival in August.

Jacen at 21 months....
I can't believe how fast this child is growing. Right in front of my eyes. He is certainly like a sponge at this age. There is so much that he is doing that just has me in awe sometimes.
The other day I asked him if he would like to take a short nap so that he wouldn't be grouchy later, he turns and says "I'll be nice" and I say "oh yea, you will be nice?" He says "yep" and he wasn't fibbing either. The whole day he wasn't fussy at all! I am just amazed at the rate he is learning and the things he is doing.
Tonight we were in his room getting ready to put him to bed and he gets out his blocks and starts counting just like I do when we are playing with them. He counted all the way to 9. (with very little help from me.) I was just in awe.
He still loves to read. He loves to color, draw and paint. He just soaks up everything!
He is saying so much right now I can't even begin to tell you all that he is saying, because his vocabulary is large right now. He is just now starting to form small sentences.
He is wearing 18 month clothes and still wearing size 5 shoes (about to graduate to size 6)
He is now falling asleep in his bed (the jumpy retired about a month ago.) and usually takes about 15 minutes to fall asleep. He normally sleeps till 7:30 or 8.
He is still not really aware that he is going to have a little brother or sister. We mention it every now and again but he isn't aware. He says baby all the time, so maybe that's his way of being aware of it. I'm not sure.
I love this boy so much! I am so thankful that God put him in our lives. He has brought us so much joy and love.

9 weeks 4 days....
I feel drained already. I am exhausted. I am uncertain how I am going to make it the next 28 weeks if this continues. I know the last trimester is always this way but I've never had the first one be this way. I have absolutely no energy whatsoever. I don't have the energy to get my normal day to day things done, I barely have enough energy to sit next to Jacen and watch him play. When he wants to me actually interact it takes the rest of the energy I had. I've never felt like this during the 1st or 2nd trimester in pregnancy. The 3rd. Definitely.
Next appointment is February 8th.

Doctor appointment...
Today we had our first OB appointment. It went great. The baby looks great and is measuring right on track. We got a few pictures but since the scanner isn't hooked up, I can't add them to here. :( He said due date was August 21st but since we are most likely going to 38 weeks it will be around August 8th. We still have plenty of time to get all those details in line and everyone on the same page. Will be going back to the specialist when 2nd trimester starts and whatever he recommends is what we will be going with.
Next appointment is next week I am unsure why, but I am not complaining. With Jacen the first trimester was pretty normal as far as appointments go which is every 3-4 weeks.
I am relieved that everything so far is going well. I pray that it stays that way. We know all too well that it can be over at any point. Its a scary road no matter how many children you have after a loss.
Still feeling like its a girl..( I know its still early but cant help but dream, right? :) )

Catching up...
It has been so long since I've posted over here. So I will try to catch up on whats been going on with Jacen.
Jacen is now 20 months old! I know I can't believe it either! He is talking up a storm these days. He says:
Mommy
Daddy
Gama (grandma)
gampa (grandpa)
taco
cheeto
hand
nose
knee
elbow
go go go (he likes to yell that at you if you stop at a stop light lol)
lugi (from Cars) except he says GiGi lol
hot dog
thank you
got it
get it
mine
hot
oooohhhh
ouch
and there so many other things he says but I cant remember them all right now. Lol. He is just growing up so fast. I can't believe 20 months has come and gone in the blink of an eye.
He is just now starting to wear 18 month clothes and wearing size 5 shoes and 5 diapers (although we have been trying to potty train, but he wasnt quite ready yet. So in a few weeks we will try again.) He can say certain letters of the alphabet, like Z, C, A, E, I, O, U, T, D and probably more than that, but cant really remember all of them lol. His favorite letter to say is Z, he says it all the time. He says 2 all the time too.
He will give you kisses if you ask him to now. He loves to put his hand up to my mouth and have me give it kisses. Its cute. His favorite movie is Cars. His favorite food is french fries...still. :) He loves the vacuum, washer and dryer...yes the real ones. He likes to put his hand on the oven door and tell you that its hot(even if its not on, and yes I keep him away from it when it is on. We tell him that its hot and that it can burn him.) He likes to play in the dog's water and food bowl (he wont eat the dog food now cause he did it once and gagged on it....lesson learned lol) He loves to paint, draw and color. He loves to be outside even when its freezing and he is cold, he gets mad if you bring him inside, but sometimes he just has to be mad. lol. Still loves to read.
Everyday it seems he is doing something new. Its such a blessing to get to watch him everyday and see him become who he is. I wish he could stay this age forever, but then I would miss out on the man he will be someday, and the father he will be someday. He is such a good child. I am truly amazed and blessed that he is in my life. I thank the good Lord everyday for bringing him into my life and letting me keep him. He is truly the medicine for my broken heart. He still has visits from his big brother every now and again. I love those moments, his face just lights up and you can tell he is seeing someone I cant. I always tell him, "Tell bubba I love and miss him" He always smiles at me. Melts my heart all over again. Because its as if through Jacen, Jay is saying " I know, mom. I love you too." I love my baby boys so much. I can not wait to see what this next little pea is going to bring into our family. Such love and joy. We are so blessed!

Merry Christmas......
I love this little boy more than life itself. He always finds a way to make me laugh and smile. My heart just melts for him every time I look at him.
When I am frustrated at him and feel like I am about to lose my mind, he can smile at me and I forget what I was even upset about. He is my life and the medicine God knew I would need for my shattered heart. This is what Christmas is all about, Jesus being born to save us so that we get to see another day and moments like these that just take your breath away because they are so special. Being together and remembering together why we have this beautiful day in the first place.
Hope you all have a wonderful and unforgettable Merry Christmas!
