Jacen Gabriel is finally here!! Born April 22nd at 11:24am by emergency c-section. He weighed 5lbs 14oz and 19 inches long. We went in the 21st for our scheduled induction and was progressing nicely but after about 6 hours of being on the pitocin I became sick and Jay called for the nurse and told her they rushed in and saw that Jacen's heart rate had dropped. So they had me roll over onto my side to try and get his heart rate back to normal and couldnt so after about 2 minutes there were about 10 nurses in the room prep'ing me for surgery. 12 minutes later Jacen was born. When he came out they said he was blue but after starting him on oxygen they said he immediately started turning pink again and was perfectly fine after that. Doctors still dont know what happened because during labor women get sick all the time and its normal but for some reason Jacen's heart rate would not return to normal. Thanks to God and his big Angel brother and all the nurses and doctors for their fast reactions Jacen is here safe and healthy.

im so happy for you guys! i love the picture of jay and jacen looking at each other! its so sweet. i STILL cry at everything! you better get used to welling up everytime jacen does something really cute, or even not so cute. sometimes ethan will be sleeping in my arms and i start to cry. thinking of you always! love you
